What could go wrong during production
|
How are you going to avoid this issue? What’s your
back up plan?
|
Models failing to turn
up to the photoshoot
|
In order to avoid this
issue, I will have other models that are able to be there (as a back up) if
the original model fails to arrive. As photo booking will be very limited, I
need to ensure I use this time wisely, therefore I will have different people
who will be available at this time.
|
Putting SD card into computer
to realise some/ a lot of the photos are out of focus
|
To avoid this, I will check
each photo after I take it to ensure that it is in correct quality;
additionally, if it is not, I am then able to take more while I am at the
photoshoot. Furthermore, I could also make sure I take a lot of photos whilst
in the studio so there is a better chance they will be in good focus. I could
also take a few test pictures with different lighting to see which works
best.
|
Camera runs out of
batery whilst shooting
|
As I am only able to
book a photoshoot once, I must use my time wisely and get all the photos I
need in this short time. I will make sure the camera I am using is fully
charged before the shoot aswell as having another one fully charged just in
case.
|
InDesign crashes and
looses my work
|
To avoid this issue,
whilst creating my DPS’ I will save each new version of my DPS as it is being
made, therefore everytime I save it, it will be the newest update of my work.
|
Unable to complete
photoshoots due to bad weather
|
As I am taking multiple
photos outside, the weather will be something I cant control but
something I can work around; if the
weather is so bad that I am unable to take my photos, I will make
arrangements for another day to complete another photoshoot. However, in
order to do this I must plan my photoshoots weeks before creating my
magazine, so there is time to make corrections if I need to.
|
Fonts fail to install/
remain installed
|
Most of my fonts that
will be used in my magazine will be downloaded from DaFont.com, to avoid
these fonts being deleted or lost from my settings I will use the same
computer that I downloaded the fonts on whilst doing my work. Also, if my
fonts fail to download, I will choose other fonts that I will use incase the
opthers fail to work.
|
Forgetting to provide
the props for booked photoshoots
|
I am using particular
props for my photoshoots (mirror, makeup etc) if I forget to bring these
props to the photoshoot, I will be unable to complete it as I initially planned. To avoid this
happening, I will bring my props in days/a week before the photoshoot so they
are in the college when I need them. However, when doing photoshoots outside,
I will prepare everything (camera, props, models, clothing etc) before hand
so I ensure not to forget anything; although this will be easier to sort out
if I do forget anything as I am able to take photos outside anytime.
|
Photo
shoots taking a long time set up so that you are only left with a short time
to get pictures
|
I will book a photoshoot
for an hour in order to get the pictures I need for my magazine, although I
will need to prepare and get ready for this beforehand (models dressed
incorrect clothes, make up done, tripod set up, etc) In order to avoid this
issue I will arive roughly 20 minutes early to begin setting up everything I
need for the photoshoot before the booked time has started; by doing this I
am avoiding losing time by setting things up before the photoshoot.
|
Vital
files (pictures, text) getting deleted or lost
|
When all of my fonts are
downloaded form DaFont.com, I need to ensure that they remain on my settings
on InDesign; to do this I will save to my computer as well as trying to work
on the same computer. Secondly, when I have taken all of my pictures for my
articles and front cover, they will be saved to my documents on my computer
in a separate file to ensure they don’t get lost in amongst other doncuments.
To also ensure my photos arent lost, I will save them onto a memory stick and
google docs.
|
Not
enough time scheduled for difficult or complex shoots.
|
Before using my booked
photoshoot amount of time, I will plan everything that I will do; models
clothing, camera angles, certain shots (long shots or medium) to ensure that
I save time not thinking about what to do next.
